    seems to be

    Are these sentences both correct:
    1-The hardest part seems to be getting there.
    2-The hardest part seems getting there.

    The first one seems perfect to me. I have doubts about the second one. I think it is grammatical though.

    One could argue for 2, but I would always use 1.

    "Getting there seems the hardest part", is OK.
