    a virus.... or worse

    Are these sentences correct:

    1-They might have introduced a virus into your computer, or worse, a Trojan.

    2-They might have put a virus into your computer, or worse, a Trojan.

    I think they both work. I prefer the first one.

    The grammar is fine, and I don't see much difference between the two examples.

    I saw some people say "embedded a virus".
    Is it better to say "or even worse"?
