Have you looked up these words in a dictionary?

    Re: Hi all

    Marzieh, welcome to the forum.

There are few things you can do to make your time here more useful to you.

The first is to give your thread better titles. If you had called your thread "holiday or vacation?" then the system would have automatically suggested threads that were similar to your question and you might have found the answer yourself.

The second is not to use the teachers, natives speakers, and advanced learners to replace tools you already have. Use a distionary first (or an internet search depending on the topic) and come here with specific questions. We can help you see any subtle differences or help you see how words are used in sentences. It's not a good use of our time to replace dictionaries.

Doing this also shows the people who volunteer here that you have made an effort to get the answer yourself, and you have a desire to be part of your learning.

Please look the words up in the dictionary and pay attention to the differences between British use and American use, and THEN come back and ask us about any differences that still are not clear.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
