    Past participle in the present tense?

    Hi, here is a sentence:

    The train is delayed.

    The train => Subject/Noun
    is => the verb "be" in the present tense

    Is "delayed" a past participle? If yes, do we call it passive? When we use a passive the sentence has a different meaning?
    Thank you!

    It's an adjective.

    A better title would have been The train is delayed.
