"I would rather that they didn’t travel during the bad winter, …" – CORRECT



Would "I would rather they not travelling during the bad winter, …" be correct, please?

No. However, "I would rather [that] they not travel ..." would be correct. "I would rather that they did not do any travelling ..." would also be correct, though not as natural.

No. However, "I would rather [that] they not travel ..." would be correct. "I would rather that they did not do any travelling ..." would also be correct, though not as natural.

Also "I would rather that they were not travelling" would be correct.
