The syntax of "It makes no difference who we are"

    Dear teachers,
I recently came upon a song name:
"It makes no difference who we are"
I feel like this sentence has a wrong word order. "Who we are makes no difference." would feel right to me. Opinions of my friends differ, so I am asking for your professional help on this.
I know it is a song name and those should be taken lightly, but I am after the grammar here, should I for example try to make a life motto out of it, or something. I tried listening to the song, but there is unfortunately no context in the lyrics.

    Thanks for your help.

    It's fine as it is.

I am not sure what you mean by 'life motto'.
