Hello.

I'm not a teacher nor a native speaker.
The second is correct.

Both are possible. Remember that each needs to start with a capital letter if it is a complete sentence.

5jj, do you mean that the first one acceptable in writing as the second or the first is only collocation English?

5jj, do you mean that the first one is as acceptable in writing as the second or the first is only collocation English?
The first is fine. There are 20 citations in COCA for 'wait for a while' and 95 for 'wait a while.

What do you mean by 'collocation English'?

Oh, my bad. I don't know why I wrote it. I meant a colloquialism.

[strike]How is it correct to say[/strike]
Is it correct to say ...
or
Should I say ...
: 'wait a while' or 'wait for a while'?
Thank you!

Note my suggested amendments above in red. "How is it correct to say ...?" is incorrect English.

Thank you emsr2d2 for your corrections. It is a lot easier to acquire knowledge and remember it after having been corrected. I'll use the forms that you have suggested from now on. Could you please tell me is it's equally wrong to say "How is correct to say?".
Thanks you!
