    The answer given is A. But I think B is right.

    What is a native teacher's opinion?

    Not a teacher, but I agree with you.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    I think B is correct and A is wrong.
