    male/female -talking about sex

Which one is correct when I talk about my sex?

    I'm a female.
    I'm female.

I know 'female' is both a noun and adjective but maybe ntive spekaers prefer only one of them.

    Thanks for replies.

    Re: male/female -talking about sex

I thought this post would be a lot more racy when I saw it was "talking about sex"!

So, as you know, both are correct.
Personally, I use the "I'm female" version.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Re: male/female -talking about sex

    "I'm female" or "I'm a girl/woman/lady".
    "I'm male" or "I'm a boy/man".

"I'm a male/female" isn't wrong, just not natural when talking about people. We use them a lot when talking about animals though. I have three cats, a male and two females.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
