I have a question concerning articles. Should I use the definite or indefinite article before the name of a place when I'm talking to my friend about a commercial/photo/picture which I have seen recently, for example:
The picture presents a man. He is in a/the forest/kitchen/classroom/shop etc.
Thanks for your replies,
If it has not been established before exactly which specific kitchen he is in, then it is an indefinite kitchen. So use the indefinite article. He is in a kitchen.
