Open an opportunity / open up an opportunity

    Which is correct?

    1. open an opportunity

    2. open up an opportunity

I want it to mean create an opportunity.

    Any suggestions?

Re: Open an opportunity / open up an opportunity

If you are creating an opportunity for somebody else, say so.

The opportunity will open up for another person.
