    Opportunity vs opportunities

    Hi,

Can you please let me know which of the following sentences is correct:

v1: "Explored areas of opportunities for Company X"

v2: "Explored areas of opportunity for Company X"

Would appreciate if you can also help me with the logic used for selecting the correct option.

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Opportunity vs opportunities

It's generally better to use full sentences for examples, since a phrase often doesn't give enough meaning.
"Areas of opportunity" sounds better. The logic is that this is an "area of opportunity", and that is an "area of opportunity", so together they are two "areas of opportunity". 'Areas' is the plural, not 'opportunities'.

Thanks Raymott for your inputs. I'll go ahead with the "Areas of opportunity".
The full sentence was, "During the course of the project, I explored potential areas of opportunity for client X in the Y market"
