Are the contractions (he)'ll not and (he) won't equally often used?

The second is more natural in my variant of English but the former is used by other BrE speakers. It's quite regional. I'm from the south-east of England. A friend of mine from Lincolnshire would use the former, as would another friend from Yorkshire.
