Hello

I saw the sentence below in a recommendation letter. Shouldn't it be "she be given" instead of "she is given" ?

I highly recommend that she is given the opportunity to attend your university

Many native speakers of BrE would use the non-subjunctive form in a sentence like that.

The "she be given" form is correct in AmE.

It's correct in BrE. It's just that not many of us say it.
