form an academic personality in him

    Hello.

I wrote these sentences. I wonder if they are correct and idiomatic.

1-His research experience at the laboratory has formed an academic personality in him and developed characteristics like creative problem-solving and hard-working.
2-His research experience at the laboratory has consolidated an academic personality in him and grown attributes like creative problem-solving and hard-working.

    Thanks.

Re: form an academic personality in him

I think the reason that no one replied this post is because it doesn't make any sense. I wanted to say that because of working in an laboratory and his vast research experience, he acquired the characteristics and personality which are well-suited for academic work.

That makes more sense than the other sentences.
