    handcover and paperback

I want to buy a book "A History of the English-Speaking People" volume 1 by Winston Churchill.

A History of the English-Speaking Peoples, Vol. 1: The Birth of Britain: Winston S. Churchill: 9780304340996: Books

I don't know the difference between hardcover from $7.32 and paperback from $19.75.
I've translated these words and I think the hardcover is better, but why's it cheaper then?

Can you help me choose? What would you buy?
Probably it's not an English question, but I do need help.

Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

Not a teacher nor a native speaker.

    Re: handcover and paperback

The hardcover copies on sale are used.
