    earn, make, and produce

Please take a look at the sentence below.

Some young people quit their well-paying jobs in the cities to return to their home towns to grow organic vegetables. Through determination and hard work, many of them succeeded. They not only (A. earned B. made C. produced) more profits but also were living a healthy life.

I know that both A and B are correct and natural, but I am not sure whether C is also correct and natural. Thank you.

I would accept all three. That makes it a bad question.

The most common collocation is 'make a profit', so 'made more profits' is the best answer.
