Thread: books?

    I want to prepare for the exams of TOEFL and IELTS in order to be accepted for a degree at a university . Which books would you suggest me so that I can improve my grammar ,vocabulary,speaking, writing? Not just test books.

    For grammar, I like Michael Swan's Practical English Usage, which covers all the bases. You could try for listening stuff. For writing, try A Book on Writing, which I like a lot. It has very advanced, interesting exercises and is suitable for self-study. However, it's not that easy to find:
