... and [because/because of] many multiscale features ...

    Hello,

Which of these sentences are grammatically correct and sound natural?

    1) However, due to the data being non-stationary and many multiscale features having different forms and durations, the existing approaches based on time series analysis appear unsuitable and quite difficult to apply to geomagnetic data processing.

    2) However, due to the data being non-stationary and because many multiscale features having different forms and durations, the existing approaches based on time series analysis appear unsuitable and quite difficult to apply to geomagnetic data processing.

    3) However, due to the data being non-stationary and because of many multiscale features having different forms and durations, the existing approaches based on time series analysis appear unsuitable and quite difficult to apply to geomagnetic data processing.

    I would choose #1 and #2. What's your opinion?

    Thanks

    1 and 3 are OK. 2 doesn't work.
