Allow wherever possible for original fastening to be reused.

    Hello everybody!

The meaning of the sentence is: wherever (it is) possible, take into account/consideration reusing the original fastening.

In my opinion the sentence above could be modified as follows:

Allow, wherever possible, for original fastening to be reused.

    or

Wherever possible, allow for original fastening to be reused.

To return to my conclusion at the beginning of the thread, does "Allow wherever possible for original fastening to be reused" mean "Wherever (it is) possible, take into account/consideration reusing the original fastening"?

Am I far from the truth?

    Thank you.

Re: Allow wherever possible for original fastening to be reused.

I agree with your interpretation and your re-wording but you need to keep "the" before "original" in all cases.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
