    Annoying expressions

The frequent use of the expression "I have to say" (who's forcing you) once spotted no less than six times in a speech by Tony Blair and secondly the wholesale adoption, started by the lunatic IT industry, of the word issue to describe what we called a problem back in the Stone Age. There is on line complaint on this and a quick look at the dictionary of course confirms the correct usage. I have to say is much favoured by women wearing dark glasses also for effect.
