Hi, i will be writing my english igcse exam this year. Can you pls suggest a few short stories, which can help me get great ideas for my language paper? I just need a few ideas in my head, so that i can manipulate them into a suitable task for the exam. Pls give me the links. Thanks in advance ;)

My general advice is just read and read and read. Find as many different texts as you can. If you have a favourite genre, find short stories in that genre. You are far more likely to write well about something you enjoy reading.

Please note my corrections to your post above. It is important to follow the rules of written English at all times:

    - Start every sentence with a capital letter.
    - End every sentence with a single, appropriate punctuation mark.
    - Always capitalise the word "I".
    - Capitalise proper nouns (English, Canada, Shakespeare, Golden Gate Bridge etc).
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

If you want some great short stories, try Sherlock Holmes- there are few better than these.
