Student or Learner
I have two questions regarding the following sentence I wrote: 'To me, a GFD Fellowship at WHOI is a perfect opportunity to learn the
advanced knowledge of the dynamics in the ocean and atmosphere and gain hands-on experience in applying this knowledge to original research.". First of all, I want to know if I need the comma behind 'To me' and if this is a right way to start a sentence. Second, I want to know if I should say '... is a perfect opportunity to learn ...' or ' ... is a perfect opportunity of learning ... '.
That's three questions.
You need the comma after 'To me'.
It would be a good way to start the sentence if I had any idea what GFD and WHOI stood for.
Stick to '...is a perfect opportunity to learn'.
A better title would have been A perfect opportunity to learn.
