    poor light

    Hi,
What does the expression "poor light" convey?
Could anyone please help me to understand the phrase below? The object of will reform is "contractor"?

Even a contractor who is actively trying to use the meeting minutes to portray the architect in a poorer light than the discussion justified
will reform if the architect repeatedly corrects his minutes at each project meeting.

    Thanks

    Re: poor light

You make someone look bad if you portray them in a poor light.

    Yes, "a contractor...will reform..."

When a construction project is going on, there will usually be meetings between the owner and the contractor. When something is a problem, the contractor will often blame the architect and vice versa.
