    meaning a sentence

    I don't get the meaning of thr below sentence . Please help me
    Integrated medicine would have about as much validity as a hybrid of astronomy and astrology.

    Integrated medicine refers to a combination of traditional Western medicine and alternative medicine. The author/speaker is obviously skeptical about this combination. The analogy is to a combination of astronomy (science) and astrology (not science).
