I have a question again as to the usage of articles.
Please look at the sentences below.
1. I want to go to the beautiful sea.
2. I want to go to a beautiful sea.
I don't have the name of a 'specific sea' in mind. Any sea that is beautiful is where I want to go.
Which should I choose, #1 or #2?
(I suppose #2 is not natural English.)
1. is less common. I guess it's the reverse of your "mountains" question. "I want to go to the sea" is OK, but not "a sea."
PS. "I want to go to spot/place on the sea/ocean" is good.
