    Which are correct:

    1-This substance contains a virus such that if a child becomes infected with it he might develop schizophrenia when he reaches adulthood.

    2-This substance contains a virus that if a child becomes infected with it he might develop schizophrenia when he reaches adulthood.


    3-This substance contains a virus that might cause schizophrenia in an adult who has become infected with it as a child.


    I think '1' and '3' work. It seems to me that '2' is grammatically incorrect, but I think it might be encountered in informal speech.
