    Passive and active voice

Hello all. I asked many questions before and now I need your help again.

Please, explain to me the difference between past simple active and past simple passive tense.

I was shocked or I shocked? I think "I was shocked" means that something/someone shocked me, and "I shocked" means that I shocked someone. Is it right or no? Thanks.

In general, yes. In the active voice, the subject is the doer of the action. In the passive voice, the subject is the receiver of the action

I shocked everybody when I turned down the offer.
I was shocked when I lost my job.
