Hello.
Can we estitame the distance to the building?

For example: She had to estimate the distance to the right building.
A friend of mine said it's incorrect, but I try to persuade him.

I don't know exactly why he thought so. He said "measure" sounds better.

If you measured the distance, you wouldn't need to estimate it. You would already know the exact distance.
