    Are both questions acceptable?

Are both questions below acceptable (grammatically)? If not, could you write your variant?

    1. What do you think, if Jenny had ever felt sorry that she had married one of the Barrets?

    2. Do you think Jenny ever had felt sorry that she had married one of the Barrets?
If I were a native speaker of English, I would never shut up. :-)

#1 does not work. #2 would be better as:

Do you think Jenny had ever felt sorry that she had married one of the Barrets?

    2. Do you think Jenny ever regretted marrying one of the Barrets?

You could also use "... ever regret(ted) having married one of ...".

Edit: I cross-posted with 5jj. I note that he went with "felt sorry that". I changed it to "regret(ted)" - that was purely a matter of personal preference.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    1 doesn't work. I would change 2 a bit:

    2. Do you think Jenny ever felt sorry that she had married one of the Barrets? or
    2. Do you think Jenny ever regretted marrying one of the Barrets?

I think 'regret' is better, but I tried to stay close to the original.

We were all cross-posting. I did one with the original, but regretted seemed so much better I added it.
