    Yes, it can be. You need to capitalize the word "This".

    If you have two (or more) books and you like one of them more than all the others, then you might say "This is the book I prefer". You would, however, be more likely to say "This is my favourite book" if you are talking about books you have already read.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
