Set up/ pin the blam or others?

    Dear teachers

For example, after I kill somebody, I deliberately put the traces of my friend on the location to fabricate evidence that the person was killed by my friend. So, what is the "word" to describe my move? To "set up my friend" or to "pin the blame on my friend"? Or some other better ones?

    Please advise

    Regards

    Holden

    You're framing your friend.
