    thanks

We say "Thank you, thank God, thanks".
There is no "to" between thank and you. But I noticed that sometimes "to" is used. Like "thanks to him".

    Is using to right?

    Thanks.

    Re: thanks

"Thank you" -- "thank" is a verb.
"My thanks to you" -- "thanks" is a noun.

No need to thank me or give thanks to me for my answer.

    Thanks.
"Thanks to" can also be used in idioms.
Thanks to John, we raised more money than ever before. (Because of John -- positive statement)
Thanks to John, the project failed. (Because of John -- negative statement)
The project was a success, no thanks to John. (Without any help from John -- negative statement)

Is using to right? Huh? Oh, Is using 'to' right?

    Thanks.
No, it's not right in "Thank you" which can be thought of as "I thank you" - which is occasionally spoken as such.
