Sound of a bouncing basket ball

This is a question about English onomatopoeia.
How do you express the sound of a bouncing basket ball, "Whump-whump-whump"?
What about the sound of a deflated basket ball then?

Please don't ask the same question in two different forums, Snappy. It wastes the time of people who might answer it in one forum when it has already been answered in another.
