hi, I'm a new member of this forum, I'm an English teacher in Italy. I would like to know when we use "a lot of" and "a lots of"; what's the difference? Thank you

Re: a lot of or lots of

    Welcome to the forums.

We never say 'a lots of' (though that was probably a typo as it doesn't appear in your title).

First have a look at the Similar Threads below. Ask again if you are still confused.

Re: a lot of or lots of

    I am not a teacher.

"Lots of" is used without any article.

"Lots of" and "a lot of" are equivalent. They are informal but perfectly acceptable.

Welcome to the forum, by the way.
