    adverb or adjective

    Hi,

I heard somewhere someone told " I have got stung bad". While sting is an action verb, why adjective "bad" was used instead of adverb "badly". Could you let me know what kind of grammatical rule applies to this and similar situations.

    Thank you
    Mohammad

It was a mistake. The correct version would be "badly".
