Hi,

I want to ask one more question, is it correct to say, "I put a week earlier date on documents or a day/ two days earlier date on the documents".

So, what would be the correct sentence?

I dated the documents two days earlier than they had been.

That is one suggestion. It depends on what you mean. When you "date" a document it means either that you write the date on it on the day you write/create it, or it can mean you work out how old it is (carbon-dating, for example).
