Hi,
I know butthurt is offensive, not sure how much :) But is there a polite version I can use to convey a similar meaning.
For example in an online forum where you can upvote/downvote questions:
<people downvoting without commenting what's wrong, which is normally discouraged as OP cannot fix what they think is wrong>
Then you comment:
"Butthurt downvoters, please explain what you think is wrong in the message"
I didn't use this but I think it conveys the meaning well because sometimes you might be say talking about something that people don't like and immediately downvote without merit.
Thanks :)

This is a slang term. See the meaning here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=butthurt

Thanks guys, I thought it was part of the English language. I hear it often enough in real life, but I haven't used it. That's why I was looking for a polite form :)
Thanks but how can I use it to refer to a person, i.e. like in the OP, butthurt downvoters. If I say angry, it doesn't feel the same I think. Also I read the definition, it's exactly good but they didn't show any alternatives.

Thanks that seems pretty good.
I think "deeply offended" is even better. Butthurt seems to be a pretty strong term.
It is very recent slang. I've never seen or heard it before.
