    adjunct overlap

I saw a sentence and I don't know if it is good or not:

"India's territorial waters extend into the sea to a distance of 12 nautical miles from the coast baseline."

I have a feeling that there is some adjunct overlap between "into the sea" and "to a distance of 12 nautical miles .....". Am I wrong?

    Re: adjunct overlap

No, I agree. "Into the sea and to a distance of" is redundant. The sentence would work as: "India's territorial waters extend 12 nautical miles from the coast baseline."
