    What does 'Well spotted' mean?

    --Look, there's a boat.
    --Oh yes, well spotted.

Please could I ask what 'well spotted' mean, 'you're well spotted' (which means you have spotted the boat well?) or 'it's well spotted' (which means the boat is spotted'?

No, it means that the person did a good thing by noticing the boat. In this case "spot" means "see" or "notice".
