    make a great job?

I happened to come across this phrase a day or two ago while I was listening to the BBC podcasts.
Instead of saying 'you've done a good job' as a compliment, the presenter says
YOU'VE MADE A GOOD JOB OF THIS.
I was just not too sure if 'make' collocates with 'job' meaning the same as 'do'.

    Thank you very much

In BrE, "to make a great job [of something]" is quite common.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

As is "to make a good job [of something]".

That would not be common in AmE.

In BrE, does 'making a good job' mean exactly the same as 'doing a good job'?
    Thanks again
