Teaching High School?

Lately I've been exploring different career paths and teaching has stood out amongst others. I have a few questions about how it works though. 1) So, how does a teacher know what to include in their lesson plans and to present to the class day to day, within their first few years? 2) How does a teacher gain respect from students who like to test their limits or be disrespectful? 3) Is the first year enjoyable, scary, rough, etc? 4) Is teaching.. to you.. a worthwhile career at the end of the day? Any insight/advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
