    Talking 88-lead lives...

    Dear all

    Hello

    What does it mean?
Many of us lead lives of patterned regularity.

    Thanks in advance

    Matilda

    Hello Matilda

"To lead one's life" can mean "to conduct one's life" or simply "to live one's life". "Patterned regularity" means in effect "predictable orderliness". So the sentence is an unusual way of saying:

    1. Many of us have lives in which the same things happen again and again.

    Hello Matilda

The implication of the original is that many people lead very regular lives; but it's difficult to tell whether the writer thinks that that's a bad thing.

There might be people for whom interesting things happen regularly, for instance!
