"That will be" ,"there will be"

I found a sentence which makes me quite confused.

In this sentence,"That or there'll be some house party going on."

How to interpret this sentence? Is there any difference between"that will be"and "there'll be" here?

And is it correct to use singular form of "party"here? Thanks a million!

There will be some sort of a party (going on at that time).

Re: "That will be" ,"there will be"

Something must have preceded the sentence you quoted. "That" at the beginning would refer to something already stated.

John: I think there will be fireworks on Saturday night for Jackie's birthday.
James: That or there'll be some house party going on.

When James says "That", he is referring to the possibility of a firework display. He is effectively saying "Either there will be a firework display or a house party in celebration of Jackie's birthday on Saturday night".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
