    anonymous to each other

    Dear all,

The following sentence explains a procedure of psychological experiment.

...The rules of the game are simple. The experimenter pairs two people with each other. (The can communicate with each other, but otherwise they are anonymous to each other.) They are given 10 dollars to divide between themselves, according to this rule: one person (the proposer) decides, on his own, what the split should be....

In this case, does "they are anonymous to each other" mean "they do not talk about any other things about themselves (including their names preferences, etc) to each other?

    Thank you!

Yes. They know nothing about each other.
