    more than whether

    Are these sentences correct:

1-You are so much more than whether you are married or not.

2-You are so much more than being married.
3-You are so much more than just being married.

The idea is that your identity goes beyond your marital status. In '2' and '3' the person is married, but in '1', it is impossible to say.

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

    Re: more than whether

How about "you are so much more than just a husband/wife?"

    Re: more than whether

    Thank you Charlie,

One could even go for: You are much more than just a spouse.

But that does not answer the initial question, does it?

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

    Re: more than whether

You are so much more than your marital status.

"Marital status" can cover single, married, civil partnership and co-habiting.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
