    word order

    Dear all,

Between the sentences below, which word order do you think sounds natural?

    1. What we all want toachieve is having our talents appreciated properly.
    2. What we all want to achieve is having our talentsproperly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    OP

    Re: word order

I also prefer #2. But in the first, there should be a space between "to" and "achieve". In the second, there should be a space between "talents" and "properly".

    Re: word order

    I am not a teacher.

I also prefer the adverb before "appreciated".

As for the sentence itself, I don't think you "achieve" having anything appreciated, properly or not.
Achieve implies successfully doing something oneself.
