Red face with or without definite article

    Hello,

Could somebody tell me, if following sentence is okay:

We've got used to the life in Spain. ("get used to" plus "substantiv")

We are wondering if the "the" in the sentence is necessary, false or both are fine.

    Any help (explanation) is appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Sonniah

Re: with or without definite article

I would omit 'the', as we're talking about life in general.

Re: with or without definite article

But you could also use it, as opposed to the life in Germany, IMO.
