    Punctuation dilemma

Am I correct in using a semicolon in this type of sentence?
"I think the girl did what she wanted to do; not something boring and repetitive, but something she found intriguing
    ."
If not, what should I use?

    Re: Punctuation dilemma

No. I would use a dash, possibly a comma.

    I'd use a dash — possibly a colon.

    Welcome to the forums, faythlo.

Did you deliberately reduce the default font size?
