I read this the other day:
I’d avail myself to attending your meeting...
I assume that the person would like to attend our meeting, but I don't understand the use of 'avail onself to' here.
I checked several dictionaries and the most common usage is 'avail oneself of'. Can someone please share what you think it means here? Is this correct / common usage? Thanks
It doesn't work for me, but I assume they're trying to say that they would like to attend in a posh way. I'd avail myself of, but would not use it in this sentence.
